The House System was created to foster a sense of belonging, community and healthy competition. 

The structure supports student wellbeing, encourages leadership and strengthens relationships between students. The original idea was to create four houses linked to Po Leung Kuk values, Love, Integrity, Respect and Diligence.

The first task was to decide the four house spirits, peacock for integrity, swan for love, beaver for diligence and deer for respect. Each animal represents the “key value” for that house. For the names of the houses, domestic trees and flowers were used to fit the theme for each house. Bauhinia for integrity, Camellia for Love, Juniper for diligence and Orchid for respect.

With the house spirits and names decided, the designs for the logos were complimented with their house colours. Blue for Bauhinia, yellow for Camellia, green for Juniper and red for Orchid.
